Hi everyone, Do you have as hard of a time making choices as I do at times? Simple things like - what I want to make for supper, which t-shirt to buy, what to do when their are 2 choices offered - can provide me with hours of decision making torment. Enter and others like it . They have helped to simplify a lot of choices for me lol. Photo: Pixabay
Let the Easy Decision Maker make your decisions.

Interesting link. I make my mind up quickly but there are times when presented with too much choice I dither.

I've walked out of a department store because there were too many choices for the exact same thing and I was overwhelmed.

It is a nice thing for too many choices or as I've found it can help me realize what I really want

I make decisions pretty quickly and easily, but I can see how that link would help many.

@FayeHazel Yes, it reduces anxiety and stress when you just go ahead and decide, plan and act and take whatever outcome comes your way.

True. Alas - in life sometimes there's just action A or action B.

@FayeHazel Or C - walk away from either. If I can't make up my mind about something, that's what I do, walk away from it.

I am not so bad with decisions, but it does take me a while to make a decision --so I guess I don't do well with quick decisions

Ah maybe that's it, maybe the pressure of having to make a quick choice makes it worse lol

I have no trouble except when I get stuck with a really hard choice. Something like, "Soup or salad?" Waitresses are always hitting me with that one. Sometimes I think it's a conspiracy.

I just tried it. I prefer to make my own decisions, but I tried it as an experiment. Sometimes it is a good way to discover my thoughts and feelings about a certain thing. Sometimes I flip a coin and notice my reaction - happiness or disappointment. If I feel happy or relieved it was probably the right choice.

Oh that is very smart too. I have noticed with the choice maker - that sometimes I will react strongly if it picks the thing that (it turns out) I didn't want. Helps me think through things like your coin flip.

@FayeHazel I tried it some time ago. I asked a yes or no question. First I got "no" and I felt disappointed and then I tried again and got "yes" which made me feel happy. It made me discover my true feelings about the question.

@Porcospino Very good point, it does seem to help you know your feelings better, even if you don't do what it says

How can you trust a machine? No way would I ask a question and abide by it's answer. I'll make my own decisions thank you

Lol - I don't blame you. And sometimes I cheat. You chose XYZ, computer? Ahhhh I really wanted ABC! I'm doing that. Maybe it helps me think about what I want more.

@FayeHazel That sounds sensible - only do what the machine says if you would have done it anyway.
