He thinks he owns the place

I have written about this guy before but yesterday the way he was strolling the length and breadth of our garden took my breath away. His long elegant tail sweeping the floor and then suddenly taking a leap up our water tank is not something one sees often and that too in one's own garden. I spent hours watching this beautiful bird and praised the Almighty that he chose Solitaire as his home. This peacock has been here for months now.

Wow that’s beautiful. I think he saw your garden a nuce place to stay. Does he not have a mate or partner. Maybe he’s looking for a place to really start a family.

@allknowing Maybe he is looking for a partner. He wants to show that besides his beautiful plume he has a garden to show her future mate.

I thought you are really talking to a person. I like it when he spread his tail and show his feathers.

For sure these are beautiful birds. But I'd rather look at them than listen to them. It's fun to see them in groups interacting and reacting to sounds like approaching cars.
