Went for another driving lesson today.

I went for another driving lesson today so that means I have one more free driving lesson to which I will be doing on Tuesday at 11am. She mainly focused on me changing lanes and making sure I'm always looking in mirrors, indicating and using the right speed. I am doing better but I am feeling quite overwhelmed with all the things to consider while driving. But I know over time it will all just become a habit.
I'm happy with today as I was driving around with more traffic so that's good to get me used to that.
Not really much else to report. Just good lesson and I am really really enjoying myself while driving.
I would love to hear your stories about your first time driving and your experiences while learning to drive.

Driving is a real fun. When I start driving I was so shocked because I thought maybe I can't do it and what if I hit others car on the way but I manage it
It's was not easy for me but now I'm holding my own license I don't scare anything

@Mulidi I am so happy and proud of you for what you've accomplished! Well done. I'm glad that you've done it enough that you're now not afraid of it.

Driving is quite easy, maybe because since when I was a kid, I love playing car games! I remember that one day my older brother teaching me how to drive, and I'm driving the car "not so fast just a little bit" He keeps on saying to me "Just drive slowly!

@tech40 lol hell no! That's kinda stupid to do because I can hurt myself or another person or even animal and I don't want to be fined or lose demerit points.

@JohnRoberts It sure will. And I'm truly excited about it. I just wish things could speed up for me to get to that point already. I can't wait to be able to get my own car!

Wow to think back to learning to drive, I been driving legally for 34 years so it's been a while. I lived out in the middle of no where when I was 13 for a while and started to learn from my cousin who I was stay with he would let me drive on the back roads so I kind of knew how before I could legally drive. I just needed to learn the written part the driving I already had down.
When I took the driving part of the class there were 3 of us in the car and I got the least amount of time since I was already good at it. I was driving my car to school about 6 months before I even had my licence. Thankfully I never got caught.

@Bensen32 wow! I am so glad you didn't get caught either. I think it's cool that you started really young. What would have been the punishment if you got caught?

@amadeo oh man that would have been easier lol Times have changed here but nowadays we have to do an online test first and then do another test online and then do the actual driving test.
Oh that would scare me! I'd worry about it stalling. I am learning auto!

@Janet357 I am getting better each time but I'm not allowed to drive alone at any time soon. In September I have to do another online test and then the actual driving test. And then I will be able to drive alone. I think.

@Babino No worries at all. Almost anything is possible with the right support behind you and some confidence and the more you practice, the more confident you'll get. I promise.

that's excellent! it will become habit. Honestly it's second nature to me now. You're doing great and I'm proud of you!
I used to practice driving in an old church parking lot and the lot where the test was given. It's good you're practicing changing lanes in traffic, PLEASE use your blinker. once that becomes a habit you'll be miles ahead of everyone else on the road
You sound like you're doing well, just be aware of your surroundings. Not everyone is paying attention to things happening on the road (just assume no one is) so that way you're prepared.
The only story I have is when my mom was teaching me, she was behind the wheel and said, "backing up is great practice!"....then she backed into the curb
we laugh about it to this day.
p.s. when taking the real test, i think you get brownie points (or you'll at least look good) if you ask the tester if they have their seat belt on before you start driving
(geez sorry for the long response haha)

@isweartokira aw thank you SO very much! Really appreciate it!
I like what you said because you're right about it. "Not everyone is paying attention to things happening on the road (just assume no one is) so that way you're prepared." It's so very true and thank you for saying that as it's great advice for me to just assume like others aren't paying attention.
LOL oh that is gold! That really made me laugh.
Oh man LOL ok that is a great tip thank you. Hopefully I don't get a strict driver.
No worries for the long response. I enjoyed it! Thank you so very much for your story, encouragement and tips!
