Cheeky worker!

Tonight, Juan Pablo called me. After we talked about several issues on the shower door, we decided he´d better come here to discuss it. I want it beautiful, if it can be done so.
Then he proceeded to tell me that the worker wanted more money. I then said no.
He has not finished a lot of things, comes for a small amount of time and there is a lot yet to be done. I have already given him half of what he asked for, but he has not done much more than a third. So I am not going to open my purse strings until he hurries a bit.
I heard him talking with someone and he is doing 2 works at the same time. He can ask for money in his other job.
Leticia will not come tomorrow. I don´t mind. Besides food, there´s not much we can do. The house is a mess.
At least I can mylot.

Here it is common to give a small advance. But he has been here too much and I said no more yesterday. Many now he will hurry.

@marguicha For some works we give a small advance, but really small, something like 5% of the total invoice.

Some workers can be tough to deal with. Some have to be asked to complete things as per their satisfaction.

A contractor just finished paving the worst part of our long driveway in Templeton and it's time for my husband to pay him. So far everyone thinks he's done a good job. I haven't gone over to see it yet, but our tenants and my husband are happy with it. That's a good thing.

I told Juan Pablo I would not pay a dime more until the receptacle was placed where it should be and everything was ready to put the ceramics on place.
