Saturday Snippings

I had another one of my 'must get in the garden' mornings this morning. I had breakfast and tried doing a bit of housework but I just couldn't get into it so by 9.45 I decided I'd cut the front lawn. I then noticed that the edges needed trimming so did that too. I then noticed that my fuchsia bush would soon be growing out across our front door so chopped that back. I then went to put the lawnmower away but thought, while I'd got it out I may as well do the back lawn. That led to me feeling the need to snip the edges to neaten it and then I thought I'd just snip back the honeysuckle and the beech hedge and that revealed a slowly spreading yew so chopped that back too. I'm now quite hot but very satisfied. Adam asked if I was OK as I'd been at it for an hour and half so I told him I felt hot but happy but, as he pointed out to me, I may suffer for it tomorrow morning!! So, I'm now having a coffee and then I shall be looking in the newspapers to see if there's anything interesting to share with you.
