He Flew Free Again..... Up Into The Sky....

She heard a crash in the next room Not a big crash but like something had fallen in Fallen inside the window which was wide open She heard a flapping of wings Flapping up and down inside the curtain When she drew aside the curtain She was not very certain Very certain of what she was going to find It was a young baby pigeon Oh, he knows how to fly alright Its just that he landed up in the wrong place Pulling everything back away from the window She was saying softly come on baby up and out Up and out gently does it now He looked at her with curious eyes Although filled with fear himself Getting on to the edge of the brush head He perched and opened his wings As she gently lifted him up Away he flew into the sky Free once again after such a fright Free again to go to the light Light of day free once again All of my own words and this really happened about an hour ago now more or less. I was so relieved that I was able to free him and that he could fly he perched on the brush head of the brush and he let me lift him up to the edge of the open window and he soared into the sky. I was so scared he might not listen to me as he was flapping away at first but then he saw my intention was not to hurt him so it all ended well has just happened about an hour ago.

Oh yes he flew as all he was trying to do was to get out again with his friends and family wherever they are and have not seen him since as yet.

What a wonderful encounter with a pigeon on a wing, lost and afraid. A significant human experience.

He was a afraid yes its only natural and his defence as well. I don´t know who was more afraid as I did not want to try and pick him up to scare him even more so I thought of the brush right away and it worked thank goodness for that.

'xhausted'n couldn't fly any further. we jest sat patiently 'til 't recovered 'n flew to the nearest tree. 'twas quite humblin'.

What a beautiful story love it and it sure found a safe place to rest with your Mom being there and it was really good of you both to have the patience to sit it out and wait for it to recover and fly off again so very well done.

He did and I have not seen him since at least when I am downstairs and being a very young bird he probably thought that he could perch on the open window ledge for a rest. I am glad he made it too my heart was in my mouth trying to get him onto the edge of that brush head but he did like he was reading my mind.

Thank you and I was not sure about anything as the way these birds fly upwards they are always trying to reach the roof right at the top of everything.

I am too his heart was in his mouth and so was mine for a few minutes as he would not stop flapping he had flown against the window and he had meant to fly higher than that obviously. So I put the head of the brush under his tummy and he perched on it as I was saying come on baby up and out and he idid could not believe my luck he flew right ouf the window no hesitation at all and so I could tell he was not hurt in any way.
