Just In Case

Just in case the power goes out again, I am coming here early. There is a weather alert on my phone, we are in a flash flood warning until tomorrow morning. I was up baking, and planning to watch a church service on television. The power went out. It was in and out about three times in the course of five minutes or less. Even though the weather is awful the birds are out demanding more food. Hubby fed them last night. Rain, thunder, lightening, and a green color to the clouds that is eerie, and indicates hail or tornadoes, but the birds want to eat. I have not done the battle to get in to answer notifications yet, I was going to post first today. I see that the entire state of Oklahoma has been declared a disaster by their governor. I do not know when the rain will stop.

I have read about Oklahoma, this is so sad. Here it rains a lot, but we have no major problems.

Where my brother is, in Guthrie, things are pretty okay, some flooding, but not as bad as some other areas. He is on a higher level in town. My sister in law has to take a detour to make it to work.

@GardenGerty I am glad that your brother did not suffer major damages. This seems to be a bad year for hurricanes and tornadoes.

It has been dry this afternoon, and even a little sunny, but we are on the schedule for scattered thunderstorms until Thursday.

@wolfgirl569 We had an awful ruckus from about 1 to 4:30. Some places had major wind as well.

@GardenGerty About the same here. Most days a good chance of rain.

No, they are not. I am hoping it passes. We have a breeze but not too much. I did get my baking done.

I am okay, where I am, but the whole area around is in a bit of a mess. People need to make smart choices when driving or exploring.

Sun has been coming out now, and I have to either mow my meadow or get some sheep to do it for me.

Is the weather okay for you? I ask because my daughter lives nearby, as well as some other friends.

Yes, and so many of my close relatives are there. I have not gone for a visit in a while and I will not until the weather clears up. They have more tornadoes than we do, too.

Oh my, sounds kinda scary. Better stay at home. It is hard to go out at this time.

The early morning storm went on through. It has been warm and humid the rest of today, but after church we stayed home.
