I need a new swimsuit

A friend gave me an old swimsuit of hers a few years ago. I need to get another one. I'd like to be in the water a lot more this year. While I am at it, I want to get a few beach towels. The one I had was given to a friend, she uses it for her dogs when they go riding in the car with her.
I don't like one piece swimsuits but I don't like bikini's either. I'll get a tankini I think it's called, but instead of the bikini bottoms, it will be shorts.
Do you need to replace your bathing suit?

@JustBhem I looked it up, and if it brought the right results, it looks like a one piece bathing suit but with long sleeves. That would be somewhat helpful to protect my arms and shoulders for sure.

You can check it. It’s swimming suit but the purpose of that is to protect your skin from sun burn.

I don't like one piece swimsuits either. Kind of hard to get in & out of in my opinion. I do have a two piece but I don't wear it, too self conscious about going in public.
My current 2 swim suits I like are a tank top style (actual tank top) and another one is a halter top. For the bottoms I have a lot of kinds, a skirt, bikini and shorts.
I may want to get one more set :) Hope you find yours soon!

I've swam in just a tshirt and swim shorts. I saw some swim shorts on sale today but decided not to get any, I couldn't find any that I liked. I am possibly going camping (it's not set in stone) this weekend. If we end up near a lake, I want to be prepared. I do have a few swim shorts and the one tankini type top that I can bring.
Oh shoot! I just remembered that I didn't get a beach towel, oh well.

Which reminds me I have beach towels. I bought some new ones for this summer. Can't wait to start going to the beach soon
Did you ever make the repellent for camping, did it end up working? :)

@infatuatedbby Oh yes I did make it. It worked okay, but then we also had tiki torches.

I think the tankini is a good option. If I have the opportunity to go swimming I will definitely need a new bathing suit.

I used to have swimsuit that I really loved. It was a brown tankini with brown shorts, I think the trimming was pink. I bought a cover up that I actually wore with a lot of different things, not just the swimsuit.

I'm making a mental list of other things I need. I just remembered my river shoes and placed them somewhere that I'd have easy access to.

Not even a pair of shorts that could possibly pass as swim shorts?

Hey, make your own style! It doesn't really matter what you wear. Have you seen the one piece bathing suits that are just a man's chest hair? People are wearing those, so whatever bathing suit you do have will probably look 10 x better in comparison.

@crazyhorseladycx There are some crazy fads out there, that's for sure. I would never wear the bathing suits featuring a person's hairy chest or even their face (I think I've seen these too!). The crocheted shorts for guys is just too weird for me. I'd have to seriously consider whether a person had a few marbles loose if they wore those!
I don't necessarily have to be in the water, but I love being around it.

@ScribbledAdNauseum what??!!?? why'n earth'd somebody wear such? oh, ne'er mind - designers get these wild hairs 'n make such, then convince folks they need 't. sheesh, this reminds me 'f the new 'craze' fer men - crocheted shorts, some e'en with tassels! uhm, no..
i aint much 'f a water dog, only'd the swimsuit so's i could teach the young'uns 'n then the eldest grands to swim (fer their safety). i'm all fer coverin' 'nstead 'f lettin' 'schtuff' hang out. this ol' 1 piece 'twas always covered with a t-shirt 'n shorts, lol.

@rakski Exactly. You can also buy a cover up when just walking on beach or near a pool.

I feel like the tankini is more flattering.

@didinedhia I hope you will be able to find time to get in or near the water soon. It is so refreshing.
