It's no wonder that when you have kids, you will have to change yourself to a crazy character that they like.
For eg. I enact mostly like a cat, mainly when I need to feed my daughter something.
Monkeys, elephants, Mickey & minnie mouse, parrot, crow- these are in the list too!! :)
This morning, she again caught up on throwing some tantrums on me. I had no time to entertain as I was cooking. I was also not happy that she was screaming a lot which could easily disturb our neighbors. Was actually wondering what I should do stop this scene.
Luckily, I went on a drama mode. I started to speak with the veggies I was cutting. My daughter slowly stopped her cry and began to see what I was doing. Later she was bit more interested in the ways I was talking to those vegetables. In fact, she began to laugh when I was speaking with the veggies. I was very convinced of myself..
I then taught - getting frustrated with the kids is just not the only way to handle the tantrums. There are multiple ways to handle this for sure. All that is needed is - you will have to change yourself to a kid and then play some drama and get going with their tantrums.
How do you usually handle tantrums? Any better ways,? Do share!!

Yeah that's what I will have in my mind too, but my only concern is : since we're in an apartment, I don't want to bother or annoy anybody with her cry. Trust me hers will be so alarming ;)
Otherwise, I want to do just as you think.. But for sure , one thing I've learnt is - they will come down to ground once we connect to them with their language or with something of their interests.
Thanks for pouring in your thoughts.. have a nice day! =)

@smileyhema I know where it is coming from. I personally think that you can try to play therapy. For the veggies part, I think you can try to make it colorful.

@smileyhema awww this is so adorable! You're a very clever cookie for thinking of a different way to make her stop having a tantrum.
I can understand why parents get frustrated but I agree with you. There are plenty more ways to handle such an issue.

Haha.. many thanks.
As you said, yes, there are times where I get high on my frustration and have scolded her. But, I understood that it's of no good. That will just affect the bonding she has on me. Even I'm learning day by day on how to tackle her tantrums and divert her mind. In fact, these days I started to make some funny faces and try to make her laugh when she is crying or when she is adamant.
