Are you willing to give up privacy?

I was walking in downtown DC two days ago and ran into a group of school students. The teacher was monitoring all of the kids by using an app on her iPad that was connected to all the clip on devices the kids were wearing. Great use of technology. As a parent, I would want to know my kid was safe while on a field trip. But would i want that information beyond something like that? But would you give up your privacy so that another person could know where you are at all times?

I think it was good in this case, but for no reasons I would give mu my privacy, even if I know we have no more total privacy.

@LadyDuck Except for the reality of those that are willing to break the law. They can actually other than DNA have more privacy than ever before.

I think some people deliberately want to share each and every aspect of their life and don’t really care about things being private. While for others, it is a matter of choice. Sometimes it’s fun to share a moment of joy or a certain specific or famous location while at other times, it is simply some time alone with family members without the interference of social media. Good use of technology would be a bliss but using it for unnecessary means is an open invitation to various issues in life!

If that was my kid walking the streets of DC, hell yes! I would want th teacher keeping track of my child, its their job and by whatever means.

It's an illusion to think we have any privacy in the digital age where personal data is being collected by gov't and private entities.Technology today has surrounded us with gadgets that practically monitor all of our activities.
