Another quote to share with you. This has happened to me many times early in my life. Then I realized it is ok to be different and unique. In fact, I prefer being that way.
...Do not underestimate yourself by comparing yourself with others. It's our differences that make us unique and beautiful.
We are all unique. I have never been anyone but myself. And if I am different, that is a compliment. I would not want to be anyone else.

aw, that makes my heart sad. 'nfortunately, we've been told since we 's to how we need to 'fit in' versus jest bein' ourselves. our 'ccomplishments, 'nstead 'f bein' praised, compared to that 'f others. not fair to ones psyche 's yer not'n knowledge 'f the others yer bein' compared to've done to reach such. 'sides, ya can only be the best you, 'n that's perfectly alright :)

I sometimes compare in relationship to accomplishments; but I shouldn't because I have accomplishments of my own.

It is just so true. Many of us do compare ourselves to others and should do this or ever underestimate ourselves.

i've thought've havin' such tattooed :) yup, like't that much. we need folks who're diverse, think outside the box 'n such - helps balance out the rest who take 'emselves way too serious, lol.

I love this quote and totally agree with it. But, I do think it is one of the most difficult things for most people to do. We naturally compare ourselves to others.

@CarolDM I can`t dictate that underestimate self for me but I can say for comparisons.
We all must have bumped in a state of comparison to anyone better than us , my stand is certainly we are all individually distinct though concurrency of likes/dislikes/ambitions are everywhere. But it is not unfair to inspire ourselves by any tendency of someone that is impressive , we should look for improvements as well . How can a person just be him all the time and if that bubble exists there may not be a room for role models .

Variety is the spice of life if we where all the same we would live a very boring existance.We are all unique and special and original. different strokes for different folks I would rather be noticed for being different then not get noticed at all.The world would be a better place if we accepted each other difference and respected one another for them because we all them.
