The kids had been asking for us to take them finishing. So this afternoon we took them to a local catch and release pound near our house. We drove there since it’s a cross a major road. The kids took turn from youngest to older taking three turns. My husband casted our for our youngest, he tried a few times but couldn’t get anything. Then our middle son which he did it all on his own caster and all. He’s a natural at fishing clash a rainbow fish. Then our girl went which she is a wild at casting so my husband did that for her before she hooked one of us. She also couldn’t get anything. I think it’s because she and her little brother are too loud. The pound started to get more being trying to fish so we packed up and left. The kids asked me if I wanted to fish I explained to them many years ago I had tried and I just didn’t like or enjoy it so I prefer to sit back and watch.

That’s good! It’s always good to try and see if you like it. My kids love it!

Even if you did not catch anything fishing sounds like a fun family activity

I grew up on a big pond for a backyard, so I fished every chance I got. Sometimes I would do so much fishing that we would just set up a tent in our backyard and fish all night long. My mom always would clean and cook the fish we caught. Needless to say, we ate a lot of fish when I was growing up! I remember the very first time I took my wife fishing just after we were married. It was her first time fishing, and like on her second or third cast she caught a huge bass! I wanted to take it home and eat it, but she made me throw it back. It was a huge one too!

@ShyBear88 I miss fishing. I don't have the time nor the gear to go fishing. Plus, I don't think there are any good fishing spots near me.
