Ouch I cut myself

I was making my husband a sandwich and of course what happens while I’m cutting the bread roll to make a sandwich I cut myself with the knife. Don’t worry it wasn’t deep just kind of like a paper cut. Short and shallow but man does it hurt. I had to stop making the sandwich and go clean up my darn cut and then went back to making the sandwich. No blood on the food yay! Now I got a darn bandage on my thumb. It’s one of those kind of afternoons. I need coffee and chocolate.

I had an embarrassing episode today at lunch when I bought a bottle of soda to go with my food. I asked the cashier if she could open it with her bottle opener, and she told me it was a twist off cap. I kept trying and trying to twist the cap off, and ended up slicing my finger in the process. I went back to the cashier and told her it must not be a twist off, because I couldn't get it open and ended up cutting myself. She then took the bottle and without any effort whatsoever, twisted the cap off for me. Boy, did I feel like a weakling. A weakling with a sliced finger! haha

Ouch, yeah but some times those darn caps are on pretty tight. I’ve had trouble with twist tops. Even with them when I’m home alone I pop them off with our popper.

@moffittjc never cut myself with those I have cut myself after using the can opener and the life is sharp on the sides or a pop top of the soda can.

@ShyBear88 I often do the same. Even with most twist off caps, I still use a bottle opener. I always seem to cut myself when I try to twist off those caps.

I burned the side of my index finger on a cast iron skillet on Friday night and it is still killing me.
