Checking In On 6-5-19

Hello to all my MyLot friends. I have been missing in action due to being out of town last weekend and then I spent Monday in the doctor's office. Remember I didn't feel very good last week? Well, I have both a urinary tract and bladder infection.
To top that off my mother is in the hospital which led to the Sunday out of town and offline day. This hospital is 2.5 hours away so five hours just in drive time. I picked up one of my daughters to ride with me so that helped out. At least I had company and someone to talk to.
I rested up on Tuesday and yesterday ran to the grocery store.
I'm trying to rest today and catch up on notifications. I just wanted to give everyone a head's up on where I was hiding

I am sorry you are dealing with those infections. I feel your pain.
I'm glad your back though. Is your mom doing ok?

@kareng It sounds like it will definitely be a busy one. I am hoping that the weather stays nice for you. I guess your mom will probably be released around 11 or noon. It seems like that is about the time hospitals usually do their releasing.

@ScribbledAdNauseum The plan was 11 am, but the storm had me delayed getting me in getting there. And then a tornado was spotted in the area and the hospital went on lock-down. We got on the road around 12:30. By the time we picked up her medicine, went to the bank, and then went by her house, it was getting dark. Long and taxing day.

Oh how hard it is to take care of others when you also need help, I know about it because one of the mothers' days, my mother got sick from the gallbladder and went out with her to emergencies and I also had a fever at 40 degrees, even so I threw all that aside to help her. One tip for you, drink a lot of orange and lime or grapefruit juice, since citrus fruits help the bladder to get swollen and fight urinary infection. Also get, if you can, guava tree leaves, boil them as an infusion and take it, the guava leaf is the best natural antibiotic. Cheer up

That's UTI. My wife got that before and she stayed in hospital for 3 days.

@kareng Just be cautious of whaf you eat especially those would aggravate your disease. Remember doctor knows best.

@ShyBear88 Yes, one of my daughter's was hospitalized with a UTI while pregnant with her first child. Not fun.

@kareng oh I know. I had both at the same time when I was pregnant with my oldest it felt terrible and it hurt. Pregnant hurts but this was pain on top of that pain.
