Veterans Lunch

Today, the first Friday of the month is the Veterans lunch. Last month I arrived an hour late. This time I know what time it starts.
After checking the menu yesterday, I also know I can eat everything on it without a problem, which is good.
Since the luncheon is from 10 until noon, I will be leaving here in an hour and a half.
I'm beginning to feel like I'm not here very much. This is a good thing, I guess. It means I'm becoming more social and not spending all my time at the computer.
I had a good morning in the pool working off all the calories from yesterday's birthday party. Now, I need to work off the rhubarb sour cream coffee cake my friend brought to the pool this morning. It was a one-inch square, so I should be all right. I hope. Anyway, I'll be in the pool most of next week, so I should trim away those calories.
Do you have plans for this first Friday in June? Thanks for reading.

There was a lady who sat diligently typing away in a quiet corner on the cruise. I think she was writing a book too!

I'm glad you are enjoying your life, by getting out more. Now that the weather is nicer, I plan on doing the exact same thing:) I need to mingle with other people, each day. I'm tied to a computer, for too much time!

@kobesbuddy I think that's typical for how cold it gets in our part of the world.

@just4him Through the winter months, I stayed home most days. Yes, I'd go to the store and then, hurry back home.

We don't have one in our country, but I suddenly remembered my grand uncle who served as a guerilla in WW2.

Well my friday was over, i did stay at home for my head felt so heavy, good that you had a luncheon and that you had all the freedom to eat whatever was there without affecting your bp or sugar level. It is hard when you want to eat that food but you cant because of some health issues.

The only health issues I have where food is concerned is my allergy to peanuts and chicken. Otherwise, I'm on a food program to lose weight. I have no need to worry about blood pressure or sugar levels.
