Today the speaker was from the VA with information about a new act that just passed called VA MISSION Act of 2018. I understand it passed yesterday. This Act covers many benefits most veterans aren't aware of.
Overview: Under the VA MISSION Act, Veterans can expect a variety of improvements to community care. Eligibility will be different, a new urgent care benefit will be provided, and customer service will be better.
I don't see a website address on this, but if you're a veteran you can find it by Googling VA MISSION Act of 2018.
I'm so glad I went this month. The food was also good. Meatloaf w/gravy, mashed potatoes w/sour cream - not the best - fake potatoes, but still good, and corn. Dessert was a peach crisp topped off with a chocolate chip cookie.

yes ma'am, lots 'f changes'n hopefully more to come. the daughter keeps me privy to such (her hubs 'tis a 20yr vet with loads'f health issues...). there'd be many services that the vast majority 've no idea'f, but've 'xisted fer quite some time. hopefully that's gonna change 's well.
ick'n the fake mashed taters, lol. glad'ja learnt 'cha somethin' new'n got a fine meal out'ta the bargain, too.

Have been hearing they are trying to make things better for Veterans and that is about time. They need way more than what is being offered most of the time

Our veterans are largely ignored in our country which makes all of us so angry I can tell you. In fact I would go as far to say they are treated with contempt by our awful government.

So glad to hear there are new improvements to community care for our soldiers. Right now I am enjoying the warmth of a late spring/ and early summer..

That is great news, I hope that it can benefit the many veterans who are sick and homeless as well, they do not deserve the conditions they have to live in.
Sounds like it was a great thing to see and the food sounds great! I am almost done with work for today, I need a much needed break before I get to drawing.
