It's not May!

United States

Just in case you were wondering, it isn't May. I'm sure the majority of you realized this, and honestly, so did I. However, I was creating a spreadsheet a few minutes ago and put in "May 2019" instead of "June 2019". When did you realize it was June? On the 1st of the month? or did it take a few days? Who else thinks it shouldn't be June? It just seems crazy that it's already June.

I have no problems realizing the change of the month. June started pretty cool but the temperature is quickly warming up now. Our two hot months are July and August, June is usually a fine month.

I knew that it was June at the beginning of the month, but somewhere in the last 7 days I had forgotten, I guess. It was warm in May, it's gotten cooler. It's also supposed to rain for most of the weekend and into the week.

I don't feel like it's June. That makes summer too close.I'll take May.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Oh, yes, we've had lots of hot days in May and strange to say it's a little cooler in June.

I knew it was definitely June from the start - only because the first week of June would be / was packed for us. And I remember it was this way for the beginning of May too because I seriously could not wait for April to be DONE. But I think from March to April was sort of a blur for me!

@ScribbledAdNauseum Life is a blur . Certain milestones and events do keep us in line about time. I want to enjoy summer too - but this year it will be different because my daughter is going to a "bridge" program as she is entering high school - that will start this week until late July. But my son and I will have some time together. I just hope we can pack in our adventures again before school starts - mid August.

@much2say We never had any of that kind of stuff growing up. I mean, I remember that when I was in elementary they put us on a bus depending on what school we were going to be attending next and then let us tour it. This was before the end of the school year, but like the last week. We didn't get that in the middle to high school transition though.

I feel like my year has been like this. January seemed to go all the way to March, February was very short, March was sort of short and so was April, though I recognized the beginning of April for my mom's birthday (she's passed away) This May / June has been one big blur. Now June usually goes fast for me for some reason. I did realize the day on June 8th because it's a month until my Birthday and an old school friend's birthday is on June 8th. Hopefully your year will start to be more comfortably paced for you. I both want this year to fly by (I want fall) and I want it to standstill (I want to enjoy Summer).

Oh, you work on a computer while at work? I think being able to see the time would make it drag that much more.

@didinedhia Oh okay, i see. Yes, if you worked on a computer you might be able to sneak here more often. I used to work as a stock clerk (putting groceries on the shelf) and I wouldn't look at my phone for hours because it was such a distraction. However, when I knew it was getting closer to time to leave? I'd look every ten minutes!

I am glad it cooled off. A couple of weeks ago it was in the 90s! No, not a couple of weeks ago, but last week.

I haven't had to write any dates down, which is probably why I haven't gotten used to it being June yet.
