Man, am I tired and so so so thankful it's Friday. Today wasn't too bad--I just prefer the other school that I work at. Plus, a child asked me if I could help open their yogurt, so I got up, stepped off the curb the wrong way and fell. I could tell from the way I fell that I was going to have a huge bruise on one of my thighs. One of my wrists and one of my ankles hurt for a while, but they feel better--I'm going to be sore tomorrow, though, so I'm doubly glad I'm not working tomorrow. When I fell, though, a second later there was a crowd of kids around me and one of the little dudes asked, "Miss Stacey, are you okay?" which was nice to hear. Plus, two girls who graduated to kindergarten some time ago are there for the summer, one of whom I remember from when we had an infant room. She was a tiny little thing, but what a set of lungs. I used to tell her that when she was upset/hungry/needed a diaper change, people could hear her from within a three block radius. Today when I said it she asked me to remind her what that (three block radius) meant. I am so looking forward to getting up tomorrow (after first sleeping in until eight a.m. ) and going at my own pace !
