I forgot

I was here earlier, but forgot to put up a post. Last night I slept really well. I was able to turn over in bed without being in agony. I was able to get up and walk smoothly. Then I sat in the computer chair and some pain returned. Today I have made a point to get out, get up, walk around and be active. I feel like what helped my back was working hard yesterday to help hold sheets of plywood up for hubby to nail to the studs in the wall in the shed. I had to stretch my hamstrings. I had an extra cushion on my chair. I think that is what hurt. It has been just a regular day. I have mowed the entire front lawn. Tomorrow is Sunday and I plan not to mow at all, but I will be back to it on Monday. Last night we went to a church barbecue and visited among friends for an hour or two. That is why I did not make it here then. It is summer and I am just busy doing different things. It is all good.

As active as you are used to being, having a back problem must have been frustrating.

@DianneN I do not have a local chiropractor. Miss mine in the other town. I missed reading just how you hurt your back. I just bent down crooked rather than bend knees and bend straight.

@amitkokiladitya Your area gets much hotter than mine. Mine gets hot enough, though.

I continue to feel better. I am trying to get some exercise that will strengthen my abdominal muscles as that is what protects your back. I still have a little pain now and then but nothing that I even take any medicine for.

so relieved to hear ya back'd not be givin 'ya so many fits 'n slumber's come without frettin'. yup, stayin' active with such's key. same's that arthur schtuff. many folks tend to give'n, not e'en tryin'.. kudo's fer tendin' that front! mine'll not be cut 'til the seed heads're ripe 'n ready to drop. love that 'free' re-seedin' 's we struggle to recover from years 'f drought. drives the neighbors a tad nuts, but livin' out'n the country i care not. the tallest our native grasses get'd be 'bout 10". they ought to be thankful i've kept'n top 'f the weeds there, lol. glad ya got to go 've 'good eats'n company. ya ought not fret 'bout time not spent here. one's gotta get out'n live! that'd far outweigh all else.

I have not kept up with the back at all, and there are some serious weeds back there. I want to get them all done before they flower and seed. I have lovely weeds in front too, but call them my wildflowers. Violets and clover and even the lowly dandelion. I want to harvest all of these for their medicinal purposes.

@crazyhorseladycx The only thing I ever stoop to poisoning is poison ivy. I have never broke out from it, but hubby has. In fact he feels that it may have started his downward health spiral. He got in it, before we knew we had any. He says that it set up inflammation throughout his body, he believes. He could be right. Inflammation is at the root of all kinds of illnesses. I have plantain also in my yard. I have not yet made my wild salads, but certainly will. I understand dandelions make into a great muscle rub.

@GardenGerty i rarely see the front here so's not much care to the roughness'f such, lol. i'm most oft out'n the back. yup, there'd be true weeds 'n then there'd be those gems 'f which ya speak. makes the hubs a bit nuts (i'm jealous ya got violets'n clover!), those dandelions'n others. prolly why he'll not eat a salad, he fears i've put some 'f those 'weeds' 'nto such....'n i do, lol. lots 'f good schtuff with those dandelions! like a lil miracle cure that most don't see (odd, they'll buy dandelion root 'n tinctures from others whilst poisonin' those that grow'n their own yard??).

If there is one activity I like doing is exercise by playing Home Run Derby on the Nintendo Wii video games. Just seeing some of those baseball hitting the scoreboard about 500 feet from home plate is fun beyond words.

It does. I do wish I had access nearby to a pool. I guess there is one downtown. I know water work is very healing.
