Some of my readers will know I got a new job at a child care centre very close to my house. I started last week. I will be working 3 days a week. So far, Weds-Fri, 9-3 or 9-5 depending on how many children are present versus staff. I get an hour break in the middle of the day. Good for reading or watching youtube videos.
I go back again tomorrow for my second week. So far I am really enjoying it. The kids are all adorable and the other teachers are all pretty nice. I am still getting to know everyone and trying hard to remember all the names.
If you do not see me here as often, it's likely because I am too tired after working to come on here. I will try my best though!
Take care, everyone.

I can imagine. Will you be going back to it after you and the baby bond?

It has been going well, thank you. I think I need to shorten my hours soon though, as I am getting so tired due to the pregnancy.

You must be so excited about your new job! Hopefully all those kids won't wear you down! haha
Are you allowed to wear your nose ring at work? I know personal appearance standards are more relaxed these days, but some places of employment don't allow them. I was just wondering if it mattered since you are working around kids.

@MissNikki That is true, whether a person has tattoos or piercings should be no indicator of whether or not they can take care of the children!

Oh, those face piercings are not real - they are just part of a Snapchat filter that is applied when taking a picture. However, my workplace is very open to that stuff - lots of the women who work there have tattoos or piercings. It doesn't mean they can't take care of the children.

@MissNikki Sorry I wanted to catch up with this post earlier and now I am finally here.
It's understandable why you won't be here that often. I am just so glad you are enjoying yourself. I know that you will be tired. You got this! Things seem to be falling into place work wise and I'm so friggen proud of you for getting here! You did this, you know that right? You finished up everything you needed to do for childcare, applied for this job and got it! Sending virtual hugs to you!
Like always, we are here if you ever feel overwhelmed. I am happy that you shared your other post too about your mum. I'm not happy about the subject but I'm glad you shared something like that with us and hoping it helps. If not then ummm ummm ok I will find gold! Fly over there and buy you like...a while crystal store! ....I actually would if I had the money lol whatever to cheer you up! There's a few people here I'd love to spoil if I had the money.
Keep up the good work Nikki.
