What to do when you got an overly nervous friend?

I'm not sure if this one counts as hilarious or silly, but I got a friend who is overly nervous with things he do. Maybe this stems from insecurities, but he always seems to care about the worst to happen. One time we had a 10 km fun run, and this guy is treating it like a life and death scenario. He explains that he feared getting killed by a leg cramp, when it affects the blood circulation. He just told this to me, someone who survived getting knocked down in the ring, getting beaten up in arnis, or slipping while hiking.

Hearing his story, the guy is very insecure and lacks excitement in his life. Plus he is overly serious in his career. He is a nice guy though.

@Mamerto32 He should learn to relax and enjoy life more.

@LadyDuck agree! Girls liked him, he is a nice guy, but we have to convince him that work is not the whole life.

I doubt that I could endure such a person for a long time.

Same here, but the guy is as funny as hell. We eventually got used to him.

Your friend is sick. He's a psychopath. If he wouldn't be treated he would become insane.

I think he do needs one. Nevertheless after being exposed to the realities of outside world, he is doing well now.

@Mamerto32 Why? Does he have been in prison?

@Nakitakona not really. He is an overly busy person who focused too much on work, that he lacks any adventures in his life. This might explain why he is overly nervous.

Maybe he is just nervous when he is around you? Given that you have been knock down, beaten up, slip on a hiking trail.

@Mamerto32 _Most likely he is afraid that the calamities that follow you will also befall on him. My comments were made in jest of course.

Your friend can not enjoy life, because he is constantly in fear.

It was a good thing though that he is improving. The poor guy, as it turns out had nothing else to do but work.

Maybe he has a anxiety condition too. That can cause one to think like that.

He had a bit of anxiety problem. But we just learned that the poor guy is an overworked chap. He had no leisure, and all he thinks about is work.
