Do you prefer shopping at Walmart or Target?

I will go to Target 9 times out of 10 in place of Walmart. There are times, that I really want to get a bargain, and Walmart is the cheapest place to shop, but the store environment at Target is so much nicer, and it is never as crowded as Walmart. I hate the hunt for parking at Walmart (although it's not too bad during the week) I never see the drama from Target shoppers that I have seen at Walmart either. Give me a choice and it is Target almost every time. What about you?

I prefer Target, I love Target, but Walmart is so much cheaper, it is closer to us and they also have more stuff that I would buy. I just like the quality of Target stuff more.

Walmart tends to get on my nerves, whereas I actually enjoy shopping at Target.

I mostly shop online and always at WalMart. Target is not convenient.

Where I usually shop they are close to each other, and Target is the most convenient.

Walmart hands down, very rarely Target. I am a price shopper. I will deal with the shenanigans at Walmart since everything at Target is more expensive. It's not worth it.

I don't usually buy that much at a time so Target works out better for me. When you add the wasted time at Walmart, looking for a parking space, in my case using extra gas..and time spent in line..Target is a better alternative.

@snowy22315 I will disagree. But that's okay. The money saving is in your mind, not in your wallet. Trust me. I know a thing or two about money.

I shops at both depending on what I need to get or looking for. Nine out of ten times I go to Walmart because they have a bigger verity if gluten free food and I can also get clothes and other things as need. If I just wanting little things I go to just Target.

Target is never as crowded as Walmart, and that is one major point in their favor as far as I'm concerned. They have great prices on a lot of canned goods..beans and the like. I remember when Target first came to Virginia they had canned cat food for nine cents..I was all over it!! I got a great price on an outdoor basketball hoop and stand for my son too.

@snowy22315 it depends on when you go to Walmart. I go during the day time so it’s mostly stay at home parents so it’s not crazy. Now they have tones of self check out which does make it slower and grey have less employees. So I tend to go during the slow times of the days. I know when they area for my area.

@BelleStarr I got an airfryer from Target online that was something like 30 dollars cheaper than Walmart. You have to make sure you know the prices of what you want to buy and look for sales on the Target site.

Target is a much nicer experience than Walmart, that's for sure. If I just know I cannot handle Walmart, I drive the extra mile to Target.

You have to kind of psych yourself up to go to Walmart. There is one sort of near here that isn't too bad, but they don't seem to have much either. It's supposed to be a Supercenter and they have like half of what the normal W. Supercenter has. I saw a fly once in a lettuce wrapping..so that kind of soured me on that place as well.

@snowy22315 Yuck!! Sometimes I am driving toward Walmart, realize I cannot handle Walmart that day, and off I go to Target. I will say the staff at our Walmart is a very nice one.

Where I use to live it was about 5 miles to Walmart and about 20 to Target...guess where I shopped all the time. Now I am living at a place and they are about the same distance from me so I should check out Target and see if it is better or cheaper than Walmart. If I do that then I will miss out on all the Classy Walmart shoppers

Our Target and Walmart are directly across the highway from each other. I like Target for the same reasons you mentioned but I do have occasion to shop at Walmart and I gripe about the parking before I even get in the store.

We did have a few Targets but I'm not sure that any of them are left. We do have plenty of Walmarts though. When we are in Florida... it's always Target. I just like the "feel" of the store!!

MostThe ones I know of, they are pretty close together. They don't seem to be afraid to compete against each other. Neither of them are very close to me though.

I go to both, but I probably hit up Target more often. There is good and bad to both. Walmart may be cheaper, but they don't necessarily have everything that I need (and a cheapie brand isn't necessary a good buy). I hate Walmart parking - irritates me just as much as Costco parking. But Walmart has a gardening center - our Targets don't.

In this area, most of them are close by each other. Where I usually shop Target is quite a bit easier to get to..That whole Walmart traffic corridor is a zoo. However, if I am in Richmond If I go to one of those stores there, I tend to go to Walmart because it is right where I turn to go home.

Considering I spent over $150 at Wally World yesterday, it’s NOT my preferred store. Sometimes it’s cheaper to buy three things there than to buy one of the same thing somewhere else. I prefer to do my grocery shopping at Kroger’s.

I never love Walmart, but I will go there for a bargain. They have great prices on Jolly Time popcorn, air filters and other things of that type. Plants and pet food are well priced there as well.
