Petulant isn't a new word to me, although it's not one that I've ever used.
I'm pretty sure I'd heard the definition of it before too.
I've become reacquainted with petulance in the past few years.
I have four granddaughters, ages 6, 2, 2 and 7 months. (I have no grandsons.)
They are all beautiful, cute, smart and sometimes petulant! The two 2 year olds have been demonstrating their tantrum skills more frequently in recent months.
I adore my wee girlies!
Even when they are occasionally naughty, demanding, and out-of-control. Petulance is a normal part of toddlerhood!
Are you familiar with the word petulant? Do you have any examples of children or adults behaving in petulant ways?

Thanks for your comment @Sojourn. Hopefully, your younger brother isn't petulant all the time.
