Remembering Preiti

While I was waiting for the technician to replace a part in my computer which could not be used till then, my thoughts took me to the time I had Preiti in my life and these were my thoughts
My forlorn thoughts just linger on
With our beloved Preiti long past gone
The decision to leave was her own
When she starved herself to skin and bone
Her blood count showed no bad signs
Nor were there any groans or whines
She lived her life to the hilt
We loved her so, we have no guilt
She just collapsed one fine day
Strolling around in her normal way
What a beautiful way she chose to go
Though it gave us a shocking blow
She gave us joy for twelve long years
I think of her shedding loads of tears
Goodbye our beloved little one
All our hearts you sure have won

Very nice that you even were able to write a poem for her. I think that you loved her so much that you were able to compose this lovely poem of your own. I am sure where ever she may be she is happy and contented that she has served and loved you well as her master and a friend.

What a lovely verse. Glad you are able to articulate it so well! The trouble with pets are that they really become part of the family don't they!

We have had many pets but this one was special. She was a stray who just walked in as a pup. We did not train her but her behaviour was perfect in every way

Tears on my eyes too.. Very beautifully felt & written by a clueless mother.. Just loved it. Not sure why she left ...but she will be missed for lifetime..

You made me cry... We had our beautiful dog put down when it became to hard for him to do anything but suffer. He was with us for a long time first in Kansas and then in Ontario. His name was Ari.
