I Married a Super Hero

Webster's Dictionary defines a super hero as "a benevolent fictional character with super human powers".
Well, obviously, my husband is not fictional. He doesn't have super human powers, but he is a super hero to me. Benevolent would be an understatement in describing him. Although he is not a super hero in the Marvel sense, he is in the real sense. Today is his only off day this week. While most men (at least the ones I know) would be making sure they got to rest or take part in their favorite hobby on their off day, my hubby is taking care of everyone else. Today, he put in a new hot water heater, put up a fence for my brother's dogs, tended our small garden, cleaned out the refrigerator, ran to the store to pick up a few groceries, and repaired a leaky faucet. To make it even more amazing, he did it all by 1 pm. He worked extra hard today, so I could work on my book and getting lesson plans together for my summer school students.
I think I'll keep him. I have a great husband and my kids have a wonderful father. What an honor to celebrate him, tomorrow, on father's day.

@gnatsmom I have a good husband too, but he can be a real trial, at times.

@kobesbuddy I think they can all try us at times, just because men and women are so different. My husband and I, both, have very strong personalities, so at times we clash, but most of the time we complement each other.
