Got sunburned today

I'm not sure how exactly. I put on SPF 8 on my already-tanned skin and SPF 70 on my face. I was out in the sun for only 2 hours. I didn't look red after my shower nor did I at the party. My friend's girlfriend admired my tan so I told her that I had been out in the sun and she said "but you didn't get burned--you're just nice and dark".
Well I was just in the bathroom cleaning the tub and I saw that my face looked red. I lifted up my shirt and saw that my chest and shoulders are bright red. I'm not too worried because I'm sure it will be fine tomorrow. I plan to go to the pool again tomorrow and will have to go back to using SPF 30 for awhile I guess. Oh well.

With the sun rays as powerful as they are, you need all the protection you can get! Two hours doesn't seem to be very long, to be out in the sun. Especially with your skin already being tanned. I wonder why you got a burn

@NJChicaa Jay is Afro-American(you already knew). I had no idea that they ever get a sunburn, but they certainly do! He has to wear sun-screen when he's out in the sun, all summer.

I have to use SPF 50 and reapply every 90 minutes or less. Even so I tend to get a bit pink. I am going to buy 100 SPF tomorrow. Can't afford to burn again.

i've only ever burned twice in my life..and that's cause i was out ALL day.
people think i'm a shoo-in because of my lovely irish pallor..but i don't..
