What Seemed Evil was Actually Good

How many have heard the Old Testament story of Joseph. He was betrayed and sold by his brothers. As a slave in Egypt, he prospered over and over, but he was also punished over and over for wrongs he did not commit. Joseph had every right to be bitter and angry, but when reunited with his brothers he stated, "what you meant for evil, God meant for good". As we know God used Joseph's situation to prepare him to be second in command to Pharaoh. Through Joseph's wisdom, several nations were spared during a severe famine. God used him greatly.
It is the same with us. We go through trials, sometimes enduring unjust situations and unfair betrayals. However, if we are obedient and seek God's guidance, we will find that God is turning those trials into victories. The blessings that come in through that victory greatly overshadow the trials that were endured. Trusting God is not always easy, but He will reveal Himself and His ways as we endure.
