This little one is now capable of looking after itself. It will join them and eat whatever it wants
But Lolly is a big eater. He grabs as much as he can and the mother is left high and dry. I therefore separate them and the mother gets to eat outside. But instead of quietly eating her food she holds a piece of fish in her mouth and cries for her baby to come and take it.
Mothers do this. I think such pampering is not needed. I have seen this happening with human beings too. And then they say kids behave badly

I have seen her starving and letting her kids eat the stuff. I therefore give her separately and still she will do what she does (lol)

She is just doing what mother's do, make sure their babies are fed first. She is a good mother.

That's motherly instinct both humans and animals, but there are animals better than humans. There are mothers who threw their children in a trash, left anywhere, and ignore their cry for food to satisfy their hunger. Better the mother cat there in your home .
