I had this snack after a long time. This a very popular Indian snack (specially in northern India) and it taste better with some chutney prepared with tamarind, coriander etc.
This is a fried dumpling with fillings such as spiced potatoes, peas etc.Nowadays, varieties of fillings are being added to it but I personally prefer the fillings with potatotes, nuts, cauliflowers and peas. And last but not the least,it should be piping hot!
It feels good to bring a change to our tastebuds sometimes. If you like Indian food, I suggest you try this once.

I love Samosa my wife makes good ones. The best we have ever had were in Penang Little India in Georgetown. The street seller cooks them freshly and they are cheap and delicious. There was also a shop in North London that sold them. My wife and her sister in law used to have fish and chips But I would have samosa. They used to put them in front of my wife and fish and chips in front of me when they served them, We just swapped them when they went away!

@garymarsh6 that is great to know that you are also a samosa lover.
I used to had them when I was staying in a short trip at Camberley - the baked ones.

@garymarsh6 to be Frank even I am biased towards home made food.
And the best part about home made food is that we control what goes inside as ingredients.

@Sojourn Yeah - at a local Indian restaurant. One style they have is the potatoes and peas, and one is meat... I like the potatoes and peas and green and red sauce they serve it with

Sweet! I like it in moderation. One or two samosas are more than enough for me. And I love chutney.
