When everyone that is invited comes for any event I call it a success event. That is what it was when I had gathered a few of my friends and family who I had not seen in years.
I wish to talk about one such friend who is 97 years old. She sends me Xmas wishes hand written, She has a great memory and can recognise people although her hearing is slightly affected. Her daughter who is close to me accompanied her.
I called her the 'show stopper' of the event Every one applauded when I introduced her.

@allknowing My mother loved to sew and embroider, but the last few years she did not see well at all, she suffered of macular degeneration.

97 is a grand age. I hope she reaches 100. She looks quite fit and healthy!

I did mention her but thought of elaborating a bit. It is not every day that we come across those that have maintained themselves despite their age.

@allknowing For sure. I have many in my family who lived long and a fulfilled life. They were content at heart and had simple discipline and joy to keep them going. They are true inspirations especially for one like me who wants to cross a century on this planet.
