Earlier I wrote I wanted to go out and pick blackberries, walk the dogs and skip work, rain or shine.
I skipped part of work today, I got through the boring and dragging on and on meeting. I got home and made another business call and fed Tony.
But I have to say, I love those berries and they do and will make me money from the homestead (jelly and jam)
But .......
I won`t go out and pick berries when its pouring rain and thundering and probably lightening.
So I will mylot and go write some more for the book, I will get this one done.

You definitely don't want to go out when it's thundering. They say that if you can hear the thunder, you can get struck by lightning, regardless of how far away it may seem. Make your jelly and write your book. Sounds like a plan.

@andriaperry If you think blackberry jam or jelly is good; you should try Muscadine jam and jelly. I like the Muscadine better.

You just got me hungry for some jam. You know when I do eat jam I like to eat it by the spoonful with sour cream. Just something odd from my childhood when I enjoyed drinking buttermilk with cake. Thanks for the awesome song.

There are a few blackberries out in my backyard, but the birds seem to get most of them. I wouldn't be picking in a thunderstorm either!

@andriaperry there are a lot of canes down in the creek bottom but everything that grows down there gets plundered by the local wildlife.

Back when he was still alive, my father-in-law would when we were golfing respond to the thunderstorm in one of two ways,
if he was ahead he would say "that's a wrap, I guess I win."
If he was behind "stay in the car, we will wait this one out!"
