Ever challenge a 7x7 Rubik's cube?

Occasionally I found my son is good at solving Rubik's cube. Then I bought him a 4x4 Rubik's cube as the Children's Day gift. He loves it but it is not a problem for him yet. Now I bought him a 7x7 Rubik's cube which looks like the attached image and I will give him tonight. I skipped to buy 5x5 and 6x6 Rubik's cube as 7x7 can mean more for him. Perhaps I won't buy it more because it is rather expensive

For this 7x7 Rubik's cube, it is nearly $10.

@Janet357 8x8 Rubik's cube is more than USD20 and that's already double price. 6x6 is not cheaper than 7x7 so much.

I used to play this with my classmates back in college. We’d try to beat each other’s time

but now I can’t solve it anymore, the standard one. I can only do the first layer now, after that my brain hurts already.
