The Results Are In

I have been poked, prodded, and drained of blood and it isn't over yet. It all started when I complained of a stomach ache. The next thing you know I have been to visit my primary doctor, a gastrointestinal doctor, an oncologist , and finally a surgeon.
I have had more blood taken from me, an infusion of iron, and looking to have another one next Monday, test I can even remember the name of, and scans more numerous than I like to think about.
After all of this it looks like I will be headed for the operating room to rid myself of the big C. I was thinking positively when they first mention cancer to me, I really was. Now that all the test and so forth have been done I guess I just have to accept the fact.
So, now I am looking forward to ridding my body of this intruder. I refuse to look on the dark side. Oh, I know all the bad things about cancer but I am not letting it get me down.
I am sorry I have been away for so long. I will try to catch up as soon as I can, it may be a week or two, but I will be thinking of all of you.

bless yer heart, hon. i know such can be dauntin' 'n many 'f those tests seem jest a tad much (the stress 'f prep, waitin' fer results, etc). don't worry 'bout catchin' 'p here. ya need to put yer full concentration'n yer health. will keep ya close'n heart ~ sendin' healin'
