So....my pharmacy went out of business without telling me where my scripts were!

I found out yesterday when I was looking up their number to call about refills. Yelp had them as closed permanently while Google said they were open. So I called their number.
When someone answered "Pharmacy. How can I help you," I said, "Oh, good. You're still open. Yelp says you're closed."
She asked if I was talking about Old City Pharmacy. I said yes. She then said, "yes, they've closed. Can I have your name please?"
That's when panic began to set in. She had no record of my name and no idea where my prescriptions had been sent. Lovely.
Bad enough that I had just received notice that my primary care physician was no longer my primary care physician at the clinic because she no longer accepted my insurance. Yeah, I could still see her at a different office where she still accepts my insurance, but only the other doctor in my clinic was accepting it, so she was now my PCP.
So, today I get a letter from a national pharmacy chain welcoming me as a customer. Huh? Then I get two emails from them earlier this evening telling me I had two prescriptions that were up for renewal. I guess this was where my scripts were transferred. I have long avoided using them because they're so impersonal. BUT...they were offering the same free delivery I had been getting and that's what I need since I don't have transportation.
Now I just need to solve the doctor mystery. I'd rather have the one I had. Not someone new I didn't know. I'll find out on Monday when I go to their office for an ultrasound.

@JustBhem Well, as far as the pharmacy is concerned, I already ordered my refills. They will be mailed to me between the 27th and the first, depending on how quickly they get my doctor's authorization. As for the doctor and my insurance, I'll be stopping by there Monday afternoon to talk to them to learn more since I'll be there for a kidney ultrasound. I have to do what works best for my situation. But it was all definitely a kick in the pants I wasn't expecting.

This is my first "crisis" since beginning with this medical office. They're connected to the doctor's network I've been using for 20 years. As for the pharmacy, that's just never happened before without prior notification. That one has me a bit miffed.

Wow that was fast, usually they let people know months before closing.

That is beyond annoying! I have had the doctor thing happen, and it's so incovenient. Another time, I found out my doctor was no longer practicing by arriving and seeing a sign on the door that notified patients the doctor had been arrested.
