Lowes Hired Them Both

I read this story back in 2016 from Abilene, Texas. Thought I would share it with you. A retired veteran needed a job. He had a service dog and nobody wanted to hire him. He got lucky when he applied at Lowe's. Lowe's hired them both. The man and his service dog. What a great ending! Too bad others cannot see the need and do the same. A little kindness goes along way in life. Not my photo. Made my day to read this story. What about you?
A Lowe’s in Texas is warming hearts across the nation with its decision to hire its latest two employees: a disabled veteran and his service dog.

I feel like I have heard of this story before. I love that lowes stepped up and showed this man kindness. I bet that the man and his dog became somewhat of a mascot for that particular lowes though.

@CarolDM I think I've seen it more recently on facebook, of course I'm sure it was referring to this same story from 2016. Things on facebook go around, and stay around, for ages.

i saw this's well. lowe's 'd be pup friendly so such makes sense. sadly some folks've gone beyond service pups 'n claim chickens, pythons'n others 'd be their 'service critter'. this makes't hard fer businesses 's whilst pups 're most obedient, the others'd not be so much. ya can't discriminate so many opt to jest fergo the opportunity to give folks like this fella a chance.

@CarolDM 'tis a shame that such's gonna require such 'xtremes. 's done great harm though'n those who're truly'n need 'f these pups.

Yes you are right. The "service animal police" need to step in and see about the rules! It is getting out of hand. It makes it hard for those who really need the help.

That is awesome, I think I might have seen or heard about this story way back when but it is good to hear at least some company stepped up and did the right thing.

@CarolDM I agree, it's to bad some people look at the veteran and only see the issues and would rather avoid it then help out

That is indeed good news. You wouldn't think it would be that hard to take in an employee and his service dog.

@CarolDM Actually I think our veterans should come first. It there's a job to be had and a vet applies he should get it.

I remember hearing this heartwarming story when it first made news. If only the mass media would show more stories like this, stories where people do the right thing, instead of all the negative falderal they insist on bombarding us with.
