Tuna Sandwich for Dinner

Having a tuna sandwich for dinner. As for the tuna, I add mayo, pickle relish, salt and pepper. Simple. And I like using white bread. Sometimes toasted, other times not. Growing up my Mom added mayo, mustard, relish, boiled eggs and onion. It was good. But lately I like just mayo and relish. Sometimes we had fresh lettuce from the garden. And on occasion a slice of tomato ripe from the garden. The good ole days. The hotter it gets, the lighter my meals seem to get. I have kosher pickle spears I will have on the side and maybe a few chips. And I will call it dinner. Photo not mine. Charlie the Tuna by Starkist. Dinner plans out there anyone? Do you like tuna sandwiches?

I make my tuna like you do, I chop up sweet pickles rather than relish (but very similar), and a sprinkle of sugar. Sometimes I use a pack of lemon pepper salmon and make it the same way.

Never added sugar. That is interesting. I like to fry salmon patties and was thinking just today about making salmon salad. Never had it before.

I love tuna sandwiches and make mine with mayo and relish too. Back in the good old days my mom would make us tomatoes stuffed with tuna salad and it was soooo good. A perfect light meal for hot summer weather.

We have tuna sandwiches about once every two weeks. For me, I eat a tuna wrap. We add mayo, onion, and pickles - sweet for the hubby and dill for me.
