World UFO Day 1374 - A sudden outbreak of St. John's Dance causes people in the streets of Aachen, Germany, to experience hallucinations and begin to jump and twitch uncontrollably until they collapsed from exhaustion. This quickly spread through Europe. There are various theories why this happened but nothing is conclusive. It stopped suddenly in the mid 17th century. 1916 - Mary Pickford became the first female movie star to sign a million-dollar contract. 1979 - Mindy Kaling (Vera Mindy Chokalingam) was born. She is an American actress, comedian, producer, writer and director. She is best known for her role as Kelly Kapoor in The Office from 2005-2013. She was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series. Then she created, wrote, produced and starred in the Mindy Project from 2012-2017.
