What's For Dinner?

United States
June 25, 2019 4:50pm CST
This afternoon the skies cleared and the sun came out. This was a very pleasant surprise. This made me decide to do dinner on the barbecue rather than cook inside. I'm making grilled chicken breasts brushed with Sweet Baby Rays honey barbecue sauce. I also had some zucchini that I was going to sautee but decided to brush it with olive oil and put that on the grill too. Since it got so hot and muggy today a lighter dinner is in order. Besides the zucchini and chicken a small salad will work. I love having the option of being able to grill outside. It's just so much easier when the weather is nice rather than trying to do it all in the pouring rain. What are you having tonight?

That is so nice that you grilled supper, and it sounds like it was delicious. Its never as much a chore to think of what to have when the weather is nice and you can grill out. I did burgers in the air fryer and Bush beans on the stovetop. Nothing fancy, but it was filling.

@Marilynda1225 We like them that way, 17 minutes and they are done to perfection and very juicy.

I love grilling outdoors when the weather allows. We had breakfast last night for dinner due to rain and not being willing to stop at the store in the pouring rain.

@Marilynda1225 I'm thinking about doing this once a week now. It's a lighter meal and with the heat would be a welcome thing...or at least for me. I think my hubby will agree. He's usually fine as long as he gets some kind of FOOD. LOL.

I will be cooking for our lunch in a few minutes and I still donĀ“t know what to cook. I still have noodles leftover and I will find something to make this pasta a delicious meal for our lunch.

It would be nice being able to cook outside. Much too cold for that here at the moment.

We had pizza made in a real wood oven. It was awesome. We haven't used the barbecue in ages now that we don't eat meat. It still would be good for veggies though, wouldn't it!!
