Gobbling.... I hate it....

In my childhood my grandma taught me not to gobble and it was one of the worst habits as per her. Since then I never liked people who’s gobbling...
at my new office, lunch room is just a wall behind me. There is one guy who gobbles always. I can Cleary hear that and I feel like vomiting when I hear that. It’s disgusting.
I can’t change his habits. So I decided, when I he come to have his lunch, I’ll put on my hands free, so that I can’t hear that noice....
Have you ever faced such situations???

@amandajay I feel for you! I really do! I am pretty convinced I have something called "Misophonia" which means "hatred of sounds." I noticed some years ago that certain sounds were bothering me and nowadays I can not stand very loud yawns, slurping / chewing / crunching of drinks and foods. I have a few other sounds I hate but my brother MY GOODNESS! The way he eats......I am pretty sure you'd HATE it! He gulps his drinks and smacks down while eating food and yes even gobbles it. My heart pounds so hard and fast when hearing this and I sometimes tell him to leave the room or I have to leave the room. Sounds like a f***ing hog!

@amandajay If it's the noodles I'm thinking of, I bloody love those lol but I understand what you meant and yeah, I wouldn't be able to handle those sounds or even watching it.

Oh... you nailed it. he is exactly how you explained. of course same like your brother... he is a Chinese man and he always prepare noodles at the office using microwave. I hope you have seen those juicy Chinese noodles.. he gobble when eating noodles and then he drinks the juice and gulps,,,, yucky..

@VivaLaDani13 OMG... I can't even think about watching that... haha.. yeah even I have done that when having noodles when we are kids, but didn't make that much bad noise though... lol

He is an elderly man, I couldn't tell anything, actually didn't feel like telling anything. I dont think I can chage his habits.
