How wonderful to be a child and still believe in dreams. Of talking trees and flying fish with brightly colored wings. With little mushroom home for all those fairies that abound And mounds of brightly colored flowers that are blooming all around. The animals would talk to you and they would understand That you would never hurt them, just take them by the hand. How nice to wake up every morn with a great big contented smile What a wonderful world that it would be if we all thought like a child.

hmm, try it, it is a fascinating adventure to go out in nature and let the mind run free of our 'adult' imposed restrictions. I have actually seen flying fish, they don't really fly of course they just kind of glide over the water for a ways. And some valleys I have walked into truly look like a place where fairies would live and frolic in the shadows. And Dreams? Oh, they can come true, I've experienced this several times.

That's your inner child coming out. Some of us manage to keep it. I know my inner child is a creative little girl.

@cperry2 It does for sure. Plus some wonderful stories start as a daydream.

@HazySue My parents called it day dreaming. Whatever, it makes me happy to let my mind fly free this way. It makes the frustrations of the world seem to melt away.

@HazySue it is. Which makes me think what a dumb plot it was when they made the story of Peter Pan cause what child have you ever known or heard of says " I don't want to grow up" like he says in the story ? none ! that I ever knew of.

Isn't it funny how eager we were to become adults when we were young.

I have the sweetest niece who always touches my face and never asked me why my face is changing.
