I don't like bugs and spiders

Ever feel like something is crawling on your arm or leg and freak out thinking it's a bug only to realize it's a hair? I have this happen to me a lot I've also thought the crawling feeling was a hair and had it be a bug. I laugh whenever I think about the time I found a huge spider crawling on me and I screamed so loud and threw it on my husband out of instant reaction. I just threw it to the side not even thinking and it landed on my husband who then woke up and gave a "manly" scream and threw it to the other side of the room. We never did find it again. I just remember his reaction and start laughing. The poor guy has to put up with stuff like this. My son is also terrified of spiders and one went into his Lego police station he built and he started freaking out and I told him the spider lives there now because I wasn't going near it. My husband did get the vacuum to try and find it but it took off before he could get to it. We are not a family that likes bugs. I won't go after them unless they pester me. I leave spiders as long as they stay off of me. They give me the creeps and I don't like having bugs land on me. As a kid I used to play with them so I'm not entirely sure what happened to me between then and now. I used to love catching nightcrawlers (worms) to go fishing with as a child and now they about make me gag. I grew up in the country and was used to bugs but when I grew up something shifted and now they creep me out. My son likes to plant little fake spiders for me to find when I clean. He thinks my initial reaction is hilarious. I can't fault him I do the same kind of thing to him and we all laugh it off. I just despise spiders and bugs but do love the reactions from other people. We bought my son this remote controlled spider one year that he asked for but ended up being afraid of. We love to scare random people that walk in with it. So far I've not found anyone who didn't laugh after the fact. People's reactions always crack me up including my own. I always laugh it off. I wouldn't do this to anyone I didn't feel had a sense of humor but thankfully most people I know do have a decent one and laugh it off. I may despise bugs but I have a rule that if they don't bother me I won't bother them unless they are causing more harm than good. I get rid of ants and bees because my husband is deathly allergic and I'm mildly allergic. There are a few other bugs that I'll instantly get rid of but for the most part, I let them chill out in their little area as long as they aren't intruding in on my space. Some bugs can be helpful. Spiders are good for the environment so as long as they aren't poisonous you're better off leaving them if you can.
