How I Overcome Disbelief?

Overcoming Disbelief
Years I dwindled in disbelief
Spiritual darkness engulfed myself
Incarcerated terribly in a shelf
In a world of ignorance like a thief.
The day has come to know the truth
Through a humble, soft-spoken missionary sought
And taught me of the Gospel truth
Baptizing me later for the sin I fought.
(Now I enjoy being a new creature of 39 years in nurturing myself by the words of the Lord as I read them from the scriptures.)

@Nakitakona You are a Paul, an Augustine, and current time Don Calloway.
Hey, our Lord looked for the Lost Sheep.

@eileenleyva That's spiritually inspiring and uplifting to be considered as such. I am one of those lost sheep my friend.

I have been around religion all of my life, but every day I still question it too.
Given that God has the power of forgiveness, why did he not use it, but "punished" instead his son on the cross, and then saying that he was taking our sins?
Did Jesus take on board Satan's sins too? Can Satan be forgiven?
Why use violence to bring about an end, even if it's a good end?
I guess the answer is all about love.
Love was on a mission, and found herself alive in God's son's belly, even as he nursed her back to health, in a painful phase of God's existence here on the Earth, amongst those not yet understanding that love pains for itself, but is not affected by pain, unless that pain affects those not yet close enough to love, to be totally that love yet in God.

@Nakitakona Yes, love eventually answers all of our questions as long as we keep loving with faith unwavering, attached to our love too.

@innertalks Precisely that is the spiritual point of view which others have failed to understand or comprehend because their hearts are far from it.

You're right. It's love for God is love. Those who believe in Him never question Him because of their unwavering faith.
