I did not read well: the eclipse is on Tuesday.

It seems that I am getting more absentminded by the moment. I read solar eclipse in the news and my mind raced about my grandson getting blind because he would watch it without the proper protection. So I just skipped the date. I just talked with my daughter and she told me that it was on Tuesday. She talked to me in that voice you speak to people who are not in their senses anymore. Did I speak like that to my daughters when they were little? I find them very insulting sometimes. Even their kisses are patronizing. Maybe I should not mind them so much. Anyway, Vicente will not get blind by watching the eclipse today. He might on Tuesday

our last eclipse was a few years ago. It was so eerie. the sun blanked out in the middle of the day as I recall and everything was so quiet. I worried about my grandkids too. Hoping they would not blind themselves And they didn't.

Children are more daring, even if they are young men and women.

@marguicha yes, they don't understand how easy it is for everything to go wrong.

You must have had a lot on your mind. I know I do things like that often. Our last eclipse was last year.

@kareng All went well though. We even had something wonderful to use to watch the eclipse.

Yeah, people tend to treat older women as if they're frail and silly, oh well, nothing we can do about it.

We are just starting to notice that our sons are taking over the caring role and telling us - nicely - what we should be doing. We're not quite ready to hand over the reins yet.

Better that my daughter is taking care of the situation.
