I Hate It When Electronics Have A Mind of Their Own

For some reason beyond my control, all my shortcuts moved from the bottom of my screen to the right-hand side. It took me 10 minutes to figure out how to get them back down below where they belong. It is so annoying. Did I ask them to move? No I did not. The other day my iPhone decided that two of my apps belonged in a folder. I didn't put them there and they had nothing in common. One was my Verizon App and the other was my local news channel. I could not get them out of the folder. Thank goodness my daughter has an iPhone and she took them out of the folder for me while rolling her eyes that I couldn't figure this out!! Sheesh doesn't she realize I grew up in a house with a "party line" and used to use a phone booth!! I'm OLD!! Does technology make you crazy too?

I get the same reaction from my kids. My phone and computer are always doing weird things that I don't know how to fix. Sometimes I fix it, sometimes I ask my daughter. My one daughter won't help. She will say, "I don't know. I don't work for the company." That's her way of getting out of helping.

all the time and causes me such anxiety and yes my daughter rolls her eyes too and thinks I am quite dumb about it all. makes a person feel so small. Look at the things we had to teach them. We didn't get so annoyed either

lol MY daughter knows that I am a font of knowledge so even though she laughs at me about these things she considers simple, she knows when it comes to many many things, mommy does know best.

@BelleStarr You are right and I am scared. Yesterday evening our TV turned OFF by itself, for a moment we were unable to do anything, my husband stand up to check the cables and we went on by itself and continued to play.

@BelleStarr i 'njoy some aspects, others not so much. loss 'f privacy fer one 's all apps (includin' this'un) seem to share yer info (e'en if'n such's jest location 'n what might interest ya) with other places fer $$. ticks me off somethin' fierce coz i've gremlin stoppers, don't track me thingies 'n e'en a i.p. addy that supposedly makes me anonymous. nope, none seem t work.

@BelleStarr My hubby fixed mine this morning. I was on the laptop and had to get up and he took my computer and fixed it and waited for me to notice that he had fixed it. It only took about two minutes to see it.

Oh are you from USA. Never thought that you had that party line before also. I thought it was only here in the Philippines. Yeah I experienced having a party line and it was annoying lnot a having a privacy cause your party line can listen to your conversation on your calls. Anyway what kind of iPhone are you using. Never experienced that yet on my phone or even on my computer. But I myself put onto folders different apps so I case easily find them. I gave each folder a name that I can easily trace what I'm looking for. But it's not hard to look for apps on folders. But it's hard I think if the gadget automatically do it for you as you may know how the gadget organize it.

I am having issues here at myLot My comment box widens and the comment travels in pieces not to forget the error message I get to see now and then. My image folder plays up too. The same photo opens up a trillion times.

This generation would be quite lost if they had to deal with having to wait to get home to talk with friends,or look information up from a book etc.

Well... I have been born in a technical era but still have zero percent knowledge. I get struck every now and then, and then have to ask help from my brother. May be the reason is I am not a technology loving person, I still go by basics. But sad fact is, sometimes it's also the important one...

I'd be dumb-founded if my smartphone did that. I am very technically challenged. I can totally relate to the party-line thing, when the most complicated thing was having guests over who would ask why the phone had different rings to it, one long one short, two short, and so on. Technology like that I could handle and did handle.

With me it's my landline telephone. I see it blinking to signal that a call has come in when I was out of the house. When I check, it's a call which is weeks, if not some months, old. This has happened several times. My interpretation is that my phone is bored because I don't use it much and therefore it plays with itself. :-)
