It's a fact of life - we all make a mistake every now and then. Some more often than others. It is human nature at work. The trick is to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and try, try again. Don't sit and wallow in your mistake. Try again in a different way. One of the best quotes I have seen concerning mistake is as follows: “We all make mistakes, have struggles, and even regret things in our past. But you are not your mistakes, you are here now with the power to shape your day and your future.” Steve Maraboli Some of my worst mistakes have tuned out to be the best thing that happened to me. Do you pick yourself up and try again or do you dwell on your mistakes of the past?

@HazySue Who needs to move on? Are you referring to me or just everyone and referring to what mistake exactly?

Honestly, it depends on the kind of mistake. I have terrible anxiety so some mistakes will literally haunt me forever and I will cringe about or it will bother me which is okay. It is all about being humble, it is okay to be embarrassed, you can't dust everything off or else you are not letting yourself feel the situation and learn how to prevent it in the future.

I learn what I need to from my mistake but I don't let it run my life. I used to worry about making a mistake or a mistake that I have made but all it did was give me ulcers.

@HazySue I guess it is easier as you get older. I am a lot calmer than how I used to be as a kid or teenager. Though my anxiety will never change thanks to some trauma.

@DesirousDreamer I think that there are events or mistakes we have made that will stay with us through life. The trick would be to not let them control you life.

I think we all make mistakes, it's the circle of life, we have to make mistakes to learn.

Everyone makes mistakes and that quote says it all. I move on. No time to dwell on mistakes.

Sometimes I seem to get in a rut and go over and over my mistakes. I'm learning to recognise when I'm doing this and do something about it.

I'm afraid I'm a dweller...of the big mistakes anyway. I try not to be.

i pick myself 'p, analyze the mistake to see what could'a been done/said diff'rent'n move'n. if'n ya don't learn from 'em, ya tend to repeat. there'd be no worth to dwell'n 'em, they jest bring yer self-esteem down.

I used to but not anymore. Life is too short to get stuck in the past with your mistakes.

Absolutely I do it all the time. Many life issues knock us down as well, but we have to get back up!

We do have to learn how to get back up and move on. We also have to learn what we did wrong.
