I went for lunch to Claudia´s and to watch the solar eclipse. It seems that everyone was watching: the streets were bare.
We had bought an obsidiana stone in Mexico ( it is a black and very hard volcanic rock) that the Aztecs used to watch the sun, among other things. With it we could watch the eclipse without hurting our eyes.
Tania came to take me home and I immediately got into bed and turned on the heater. Today´s minimum was 32° F. That, with no central heating.
See you later, friends.

Most of the people here had on special eyeglasses that could be bought for a small amount of money. At home, we had the real thing: obsidian. I did not remember, but Tania had bough a smaller obsidian disk in Mexico, so she went with a friend to watch it at the mountains.

@marguicha I hope it is safe, because I know that I have read many times that an obsidian glass is not a tested and approved as safe solar filter material. What they did in ancient times was not always safe.

I have a heater now. But I cannot leave the heaters on if the house is alone. it is dangerous.

That makes sense @marguicha I'm glad you have a heater to keep you warm when you need it.

It is. That is, it was. After I turned on the heater and the electric blanket, after I got myself a hot water bottle, it is not bad. Besides, inside the house it is never that cold.
