I Tried To Change Something.....(Fail)

I wanted to change my hair color (that's the answer to last night's question).
I wanted to go back to having blonde hair. My real color is a red color....that part did lighten and get blonde-ish (even though you can't tell in the photo).
The ends though were dyed a dark red before, and this bleach was not strong enough to lighten that up much at all. I should have just got a box of the dark red and done my roots and touched up the faded color.
I may cut off the hair that is still red and have shorter hair for a while (even though I enjoy having long hair).
Torn at what to do, I don't think I look good with short hair, but don't really know about keeping my hair long the way it is.

It's looking good.
I have never tried with hair color. I have natural dark brown and now I am getting a few grey hair.
I would often go for trimming and keep it up to shoulder length as it is easier to maintain. Also I would trim a little short if I get more hairfall.

Thank you. Well hair coloring is not for everyone. Keeping it at a good length sounds like a good plan

I love the way your hair looks, with two colors! This is so stylist at this time, many ladies are paying hundreds of dollars, to get this exact look! It's beautiful, I wouldn't cut it if I were you

@kobesbuddy Well in some spots I have parts that are really blonde in the middle of darker pieces! But it doesn't bother me

Thank you, it honestly doesn't look much different than before though haha (I should have posted a before and after). I could get some actual bleach powder and developer at Sally's Beauty. I got that in the past when I'd dye my hair crazy colors. But I just got what I found at Walmart last night...I read the reviews after and a lot where sayin that the bleach was not very good at all.

@tammys85 Well my roots did turn blond-ish and the dark red ends got lighter, but that was not the result I wanted at all! I wonder if I could order what I want from Amazon instead, although I might be able to stop at Sally's when we go out of town on our anniversary!

Oh no, I have not....I don't intend to either. I used to like extremely short hair, but I don't like the growing it out process lol

@MommyOfEli2013 Well, I have never dyed my hair, so I am no expert on how dye works. I hope you get it worked out. But like I said, at least based on the picture I think your hair looks fine.

@porwest Well the bleach lightens hair (takes out the color)....but the one I bought sucked and did not get all the color out! I may try a better bleach, but will have to wait 2 weeks at least. Thank you though, at least the outcome wasn't horrendous lol

It looks good to me, but sometimes, we are just tired of the current hair, if you cut it, it will always grown back.

A shorter cut might be the answer instead of adding more chemicals to your hair. At least your hair will grow back if you decide to get it cut.
I'm blonde but have never tried to go from darker hair to blonde.

I did that before when I had colorful hair and wanted to go back to just blonde; cut it short to not have to deal with getting the color out. But I don't think I look good with short hair lol. Going from darker hair is definitely a pain!

It seems to me that your complexion is very white, with which the blond tones do not favor much because if you use a very golden blond then you will see yellow skin as if you had high bilirubin lol, then it is recommended for your skin tone the dark blond , those that are a shade of honey or dark blond coppery, highlight your beautiful eyes, in fact many blondes as white as Nicole Kidman use reddish tones to highlight her skin and her features and eyes, I would like you to return to red but with a Ruby color or you might want to try a Havana color tone, or a honey-colored blonde and even a beautiful chocolate gold, those are the types of colors that are beautiful with your skin. I don't think that your hair looks bad at all; and it's nice to see a picture of you. Hi, Courtney! lol What was wrong with your original color? I'd leave it alone; but that's just me and maybe dye it one darker color when your hair grows out.
