My day in Tiburon CA

I went to Tiburon CA today to pick up a guitar that was having some minor cosmetic work done on it. The work was not finished, so I strolled around Tiburon. It is a smallish town on the San Francisco Bay, in Marin County. I met some nice people there, including a road contstruction worker who wanted to see my 1914 Gibson A-4 mandolin (I got it appraised by Eric Schoenberg at $2000) and another road construction worker who does music and wanted my card. Tiburon looks almost European, with it's winding roads and small shops. Shoenberg's guitar store is among those shops. I will attach a photo I took today. It was a relaxing day, even if my guitar was not finished. In this photo, you can see San Francisco in the distance to the South.

@sophie09 In general, I find Marin County to be the prettiest part of the Bar Area. The hiking there is great too.

I've never been to Tiburon, but I've ridden in one. Couldn't see much from the back seat.

Is it pollution or smog in front of San Francisco? The water of Lake Lugano is also greenish.

There are some fires burning, so that may contribute to the pollution. Also, we haven't had rain in several weeks. I notice a haze on the horizon here at my house as well.

Sometimes the best days happen unexpectedly! How nice when we enjoy the simple pleasures of life- friendly strangers, lovely and interesting scenery, beautiful weather. Your mandolin sounds like quite a treasure!

I see smog. Is that San Francisco? It is a pretty picture, seriously. Such a lovely greenish hue to the water.
