well, i'm afraid of being drowned in the water because i can't swim. I've always wanted to learn how to swim, my sister can swim, i asked her to teach me, but still i cant find myself able to swim. maybe i need a profesional trainer to teach me how to swim. everytime i'm on a boat and looking at the wide sea, i cannot imagine myself being drowned in there. that is my fear.
what about you? what is your fear?

I've choked on steak a couple of times (and on other foods) but it doesn't bother me enough to stop eating it!

@sophie09 I have a little list of fears but top ones would be my ex boyfriend, people holding knives, people I love dying or abandoning me in some way, planes and being completely alone in the dark.

@sophie09 He was abusive towards me. Mainly mental abuse but there were times where he was physical.

I am scared of dogs. It's a fear that is actually quite common but that is not understood because dogs are supposed to be 'man's best friend'. I find it ironic that people who are scared of spiders tell me I shouldn't be scared of dogs. It's like it's a fear that's not taken seriously, like everyone is supposed to like them and get over any fear. Strangely, though, people are far more accepting of some much less rational fears. The irrational fear of dogs is cynophobia. I am frightened when a strange dog runs up or barks at me. Unlike an irrational fear, though, I'm not bothered by pictures of dogs or by panicking at the thought of them.

@sophie09 Part of my fear is precisely because of dog owners who think everyone should love their dog. I've got friends who own dogs but still don't want other people's jumping up at them!
I think dogs like me as well, which is annoying because it doesn't seem to matter how much I ignore them.

i nearly drowned'n my youth'n made 't my mission to learn to swim. i dislike 't immensely, but can do 't. taught all my young'uns to swim so's they'd hopefully not need to've that fear.
the one fear i've yet to o'ercome 'tis heights. i'm okay goin' 'p. down, not so much.
yepperz, find ya a swimmin' teacher if need be. conquer that fear. 'tis quite liberatin' 'n ya might find y'ave a true joy fer bein''n the water.
