Good morning everyone, I hope you had a nice weekend. We didn't do much. My brother moved furniture around in the living room on Saturday. When he woke up Sunday, he could barely move. He was in a lot of pain. I try to tell him that he can't do the things he used to. He doesn't want to accept it. Frustrates me so much but what can you do? My brother and I talked about going to the beach. If we are able to go, it will be during my birthday in March. It all depends on him getting time off and us having the money. I'm so excited even though it's a ways off. I hope you all have a great day!

Overdoing it at any age is a killer. Hope C feels better soon. I hope you do get to the beach - there's nothing better!

I have to admit that it has taken me a long time to accept what I can't do anymore so i understand how he feels. I hope we get to go to the beach too. Not sure whether it would be Florida or Myrtle Beach.

@simone10 I would think Myrtle Beach would be a bit cool in March. Then again, you can always check the forecast. I'm sure it's beautiful there any time of year, especially if you don't plan on swimming or sunbathing.

@DianneN I didn't think of that. I will have to check it out and change to a warmer month.

We don't want to go when it's really hot and humid so that's why we chose March.

Where will you go to the beach? Gulf Coast or Atlantic coast? Sounds like a great idea.

@simone10 I have never been to the panhandle but I hear it is beautiful, places like Destin. I personally like the gulf better than the Atlantic but that is just me. But I have the ocean here in Ct and I rarely go there. I love the smell of the ocean. I think that the South Carolina coast is also nice I do love Charleston and Myrle Beach and Hilton Head are popular. Really depends what you want to do.

Yep, I have a sore muscle under my arm, from mowing grass. I want a beach vacation too.

Men have a tough time with aging, they seem to think they are supposed to be able do the same things they did as young men. I hope you get to go to the beach.

Enjoy Your Day. Men are silly, aren't they? They never want to listen to us when we know what's best for them.

I know what you mean, I am finding that the a/c is having a negative effect on my back as I sleep. I love this aging process.

Once you get a bit older, you start to learn that you can't do what you used to be able to manage easily.

Men think they can do what they do until the end. My husband has a bit of a problem with the fact that he can't do as much as he used to.

We have the habit of telling ourselves we can still do what we could when we were younger. It's our bodies that remind us how old we are by giving us all those extra pains we didn't have before. The beach sounds like a wonderful idea for your birthday. You must live close to a beach in a warm climate to go there in March. We're still blanketed in snow in March.
